As Trustees, we are saddled with the responsibility of promoting public welfare and protecting the interests of all parties involved in public transactions such as FGN-backed bonds, State bond issues, Collective Investment Schemes, etc.
This Trust is modelled after mutual funds. REITs pool the capital of numerous investors and makes it possible for individual investors to earn dividends from real estate investments—without having to buy, manage, or finance any properties themselves.
A Mutual Fund is a type of professionally managed investment fund that pools money from many investors to purchase securities such as stocks, bonds, money market instruments and similar assets.
Collective Investment Schemes (CIS) include Mutual Funds, Investment Trusts, Real Estate Investment Trusts etc. The underlying role of the trustee is to ensure that the assets of any scheme is administered in accordance with the provisions of the trust deed and that the interests of unitholders are at all times protected.
CIS is any arrangement with respect to property of any description, the purpose of which is to enable the person taking part in the arrangement to receive profits or income arising from the acquisition, holding, management or disposal of the property.
We act as Trustees to Bonds & Notes issued by the government. We hold security in Trust on behalf of the stakeholders, monitor obligations of the parties, ensure bond interest payments and principal repayments are made as scheduled and protect the interests of the bondholders if the issuer defaults.
We also manage Sinking Funds to generate competitive returns and ensure timely payment of coupon and principal repayments to Bondholders/Noteholders respectively whilst taking proactive steps to prevent loss of investors’ funds.
