We hold assets in Trust via a Trust account established with us for the purpose of securitization in respect of an underlying obligation or for the future benefit of beneficiary(ies).
We act in capacity of Trust to keep clients’ securities or precious items, thus preventing them from being stolen or lost. Securities may be stocks or other assets in electronic or physical form.
We act as Trustees to corporate organizations on transactions such as loan syndication, consortium lending arrangements, issuance of corporate bonds and securitization.
In these transactions, CST holds security over charged assets on behalf of the secured parties, keep in our custody the physical Title documents which serves as collateral/security of the clients charged assets on behalf of the Lenders, monitors obligations of Issuers and protects the interest of the Investors to a Bond Issue or Fund (as the case may be), amongst other roles.
We play a moderating and stabilizing role in the event of a loan restructure, liquidation of assets and winding up of companies via a receivership arrangement-This is a situation in which an institution or enterprise is held by a receiver (a person placed in the custodial responsibility for the assets and rights of others) especially in cases where a company cannot meet its financial obligations and is said to be insolvent.
A receivership may occur as a step in a company’s restructuring process, with the goal of returning the company to profitability.
